Is Fear Our Biggest Limitation?

Updated on May 20, 2017

Fear

Fear,

Is arguably our biggest limitation.

Fear,

Stops us in our tracks, stops our progression.

Fear,

Keeps us in the darkness, when we were born to shine.

Fear,

Kills dreams, time after time after time.

Fear,

Is borne out of our distorted misconceptions.

Fear,

Could elevate us, it could change our perception.

Fear,

Is the reason we don't achieve our targets or our goals.

Fear,

Is the reason why the people that do, become our foes.

Fear,

Makes it easier to focus on what you can't control, instead of what you can.

Fear,

Has us following the crowd, conforming, denying what we are, instead of making a stand.

Fear,

Is the reason why many with life's, never really live.

Fear,

Is the reason why we suppress our talents, when we have so much to give.

Fear,

Is energy. Not purely a negative emotion that's deep rooted.

Fear,

It can be transferred, transformed and transmuted.

Fear,

Can be a vehicle for success, a vehicle for change.

Fear,

The reason why Frank Lampard's goals won so many games.

Fear,

The reason why an animal is at its most dangerous when its wounded.

Fear,

The reason why Tommy Coyle, knocked out Michael Katsidis.

Fear,

The reason only a select few people know that I'm doing this.

Fear,

Has me scared to fail, scared to die.

Why?

Why not celebrate life, appreciate life?

Because death is promised to us all.

One day, death will come.

We can't hide, we can't run.

Fear,

Can be the transportation to my elevation,

My plane for change,

My vehicle to fly,

My motivation to live,

Not the reason I die.

The Fear Barrier

Is fear holding you back in life?

Nice idea, good presentation. Keep on going, do support my hubs. Make next poem even better and try to end a sentence in a single line.

      eg:

Has us following the crowd, conforming, denying what we are, instead of making a stand.
