i-thought-of-you

A flickering candle, a piercing light,

Has kept company with me on this pensive night.

Alone I lay with my thoughts of you,

That started with a glimpse, but eventually grew.

A smoldering look, a passionate stare,

That brought down my walls and laid me bare.

And so I have gone past the point of no return,

And have allowed my passion for you slowly to burn.

Will this fire stay lit and bright?

Or will it fade away like the darkest night?

I thought of you.
