I Am Complex Because I Am Woman
I gave birth to a Nation
Watched as men fell to their knees and bowed down in honor of me
Take me as I am with all my complexities
I wear my sexuality like a badge of honor
I am your lover, your Friend
A warrior when it calls for me to be
Yes, I get angry and confused by constant lies and deception
And yes I cry
I am Woman
When desperation and fear drenched your brow with sweat
I wiped the beads and held you in my arms washing away the fears
I wear the scars of life from bending
Scrubbing floors, ironing, cleaning
And from years of toiling
I helped you in your struggles to become better
Walked beside you to give you strength
I bore the anguish birthing a generation
And lovingly caring for them and our Home
Because I am Woman
My strength my wisdom at times embraced you
And at times freed you to become who you are
When you lost your way I gently guided you back
You turned to me I was your lifeline
Your anchor from the storm
I am all things to some Men
Yet nothing to some
I am beauty personified the sensual moves created when I walk
The shyness of my smile
The come-hither looks that drive you to insanity
Screams Woman

Beautiful thoughts on the feminine 'etre'.
The power. The hard work. The hope
The love. The patience.

Hello Juliet from "Junko's wife", your writing is a beautiful and true description of us a Complex Woman. I will share it with the sisterhood of my circle, it speaks volume of who we are. Thanks for sharing!

Juliet did you and my wife collaborate on this hidden truth. These words are proof that all lies die when the truth is told. I wanted to be the first to co-sign this before all the women showed up. If you don't get many comments on this one I don't know what to say to you. Beautiful woman in and out .
