Hand in Hand Through Life

I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida. .

Hand in hand,

smile for a smile -

come give me a kiss

and give me the love I don’t want to miss.

Days drift by

and no words need be said.

Love has a language -

that translates so well.

Love’s silence,

gets broken -

only when special words,

like I love you are expressed.

Hand in hand,

through the skies we fly,

together -

just you and I.

Love has a language,

all its own -

brilliant smiles as love grows,

hugs are warm as we know.

Eyes shining and full of love,

no words needed,

silent sighs,

side by side in contentment.

Hand holding hand,

heart beating against heart.

I can hear you in the silence,

I can feel you when you’re by my side.

Love moves quietly,

no harsh words to mar the golden silence.

When days are gray,

love makes the sun shine anyway.

When clouds hide the sun,

your smile makes the day brighter

and even if it should rain -

we’ll dance between the raindrops.

Hand in hand you and I,

down life’s road.

Filling our hearts with love,

just as warm as the sun above.

How wonderful Dianna. Love like that is special and lasting. I too am together with my soul mate.

That is so true FlourishAnyway.

It's very comforting to have a life partner to hold your hand throughout the years. Your poem reflects that.

That is wonderful Dianna. Same situation on this side of the world. That's usually when two kindred souls come together.
