Fear is an Illusion

Updated on June 12, 2017

Fear.

It roots you to the place you stand,

Sucks the air from your lips,

And leaves you with nothing,

Except the empting feeling that you are worthless,

That you will never accomplish anything,

That you should just disappear.

But fear is an illusion,

Being afraid gives you an excuse.

If you never try,

You never fail,

And you never have to face that sinking sense of defeat.

You can never say you put your all into something,

And got nothing.

You see, fear is an opportunity to give up before you even try.

It’s the opportunity to sit back and let life fly by.

Ah, what a brilliant explanation of "fear." Yes, "fear is an opportunity to give up before you even try." Wonderful Poem.
