Creepy World

Updated on June 19, 2017

spider's pride: the welcoming web,
surpassing all fantasy,
wrapped up in this world,
the dimness lit partially,
where shadows flicker,
demented cartoon children,
standing around a flaming car,
in a small frame,
that I have seen,
many ages ago.

This is the odd:
sordid arms reach out,
a slenderman hug,
coming out from the glass,
and your reflection,
smiles back at you,
a knowing grim grin...

lets us dance an Aquarian march,
to the tune of the dead,
the piper surely picked the tune,
marching around arms.
coming out the earth,
with disjointed fingers,
clawing at the heavens,
with a spear as the center point,
with a calf's head atop,
bejewelled in the rotted eye sockets,
overlooking all,
human eyes,
oddly out of place.

The world of the strange,
its a knoll at the edge of a dark wood,
a slurping chill licking at your being,
the splinter that is lodged deep within.

Its the small town,
where none should live,
the theme park,
that holds the echoes of the past.

its the shadowy darting entity,
in the corner of your vision,
a world apart,
a world inside.
the world of the creepy.

Thank you for reading. I often get surprised at the reception of what I write, the most unlikely of pieces that have the most impact, I suppose in this world you shouldn't fear even the odd spectacles you scribble as Ralph said previously often the become the best ones to some. Thank you again for the read and the comments.
