Chemicals

Updated on April 12, 2017

My dear you are lovely, beautiful and bold.

But lately you’ve seemed very tired and cold,

Even though your age is not great in it’s number,

the chemicals are making you older not younger.

Your mind is going with every bit you ingest,

it’s breaking every beautiful piece you’ve got left.

Soon there’ll be nothing but the ghost of a shell,

You’re not even gone yet, and I miss you like hell.

A truly insightful piece. We can only try and try we must. You and I, we are servants of a Higher Light. Let it shine. Peace.

This was a timely message. So many of our young people are becoming addicted to bad chemicals. Thank you for sharing this. Blessings. whonu

When I was your age, I had a friend start down that path because of another so-called friend. It was hard to watch. And now, I heard on the news the other day that heroin is gaining popularity. Someone told me the other day kids around here are trying to get other kids to drink bleach. Scary thoughts. I hope people read your poem and heed the warning.

So many horrible chemicals to become addicted. A well written warning. Thank you. Jamie

Thank you all, I know that it is sad but I hope that it can be a wake up call to the loved ones we are losing to addiction.

Very real, very frightening~~when someone we love gets lost in the haze of a high, that does nothing but bring them down low..........

      Your words are haunting.

This is so sad but at the same time powerful. If it is someone you know I hope you read it.

This is sad. I hike it's not about someone you know.
