Autumn, the beautiful season, so blessed we are, for every reason,

Colors so radiant, seemingly divine, by the master's hand, its design.

Resplendent reds, yellows and golds, each a manifestation, unfolds,

Every year, much more wonderful than before, over years so refined.

The Fall of the year, a time of reflection, of a past Summer's amalgamation,

That chill in the air, but not to despair, Winter's cold's still in our imagination.

Leaves on trees, all laced up just so, as a woven marvel of magnificent art.

Soon comes the pumpkins, as Halloween nears, Jack-o-lanterns, all a part.

October, November, right on into December, Autumn, you are such a delight,

Recommended

So thankful, each person who sees your grandeur, all so blessed with the sight.

Rainbow's leaves sprinkled about, our coats adorned, as we walk on our route,

Children run, with happy hearts, to play, in the piles of leaves, jump and shout.

Autumn, from September's equinox, to December's solstice, this is your run,

No other season, gives us the reason, to laugh and to love, all to have fun.

No other time of the year, do we hold so dear, get to leave chores undone,

Popcorn's popping, turkey's in the stove, can't wait till your season's begun.

As hunters gather up their pups, taking them each out to the field,

Little time is spent in shooting, much, as in their confidence to build.

The camaraderie, the sharing of the wild, means more to every one,

This special season, so beloved by us all, until its last day is done.
