Tom Ware

I'm into speaking to audiences. I tell stories. Moreover, I've addressed well over 900 general-public audiences (that is, outside of the Toastmasters environment) and over 49,000 people during the past fortyyears. Some people refer to me as a Master Storyteller. That's flattering, of course. I am good at it.

I also presented classes to adults on Self-development,Popular Psychology, and Spirituality (non-sectarian) between 2001 and 2008.

I'm an avid writer, been at it for forty-seven years. Speaking is a passion, of course, as mentioned above. I started in 1972 with Toastmasters and I'm still with them. My speciality is Storytelling and some years ago people began to flatter me with the titles: Master Storyteller, The Prince of Storytellers, and Tusitala Tom (Tusitala means Storyteller in Polynesian) All very nice...

I'm also into 'serious' meditation (Vipassana as taught by S.N. Goenka) Started that in 1986. Additionally, I'm an Automatic Writing practitioner and have been able to 'channel' for over forty years

Since March 2017 I've been placing 'talking head' videos on a number of Linkedin and Facebook sites. The majority of these have been on the subject of Public Speaking and, in particular, Storytelling. I've placed over 900 so far.

Little bit about me: Born in London, U.K. and migrated to Australia in 1951. Started my first job day after my fifteenth birthday in that year. I've been a postal worker, sailor, aviation air-ground man, overseas telegraph operator. I've worked for an electric power-generating authority, been a truckie, foundry labourer, lab assistant, police radio operator, an office worker - even an Antarctic expeditioner. Worked and lived in a number of countries. But am now 'retired' and enjoying life - probably as never before. -Gives me time to write plenty of Hubs!
