Joy Smith

I grew up in a small town in NW Arkansas. I have always had a passion for writing. I have my associates in Criminal Investigation and now I'm working on my Bachelors in Criminal Justice - Human Services. I'm a domestic violence and rape advocate and I'm a volunteer with the American Red Cross for disaster relief. Some of my writings are from some extensive essays that I have written for school and sometimes I write about emotions and struggles as mine have been many. Some of my writings tend to be dark but have hope and light toward the end. I am not typically a gloomy person but at this time in my life I tend to tread more to the dark side. I have dealt with a lot in my life and I am hoping that by writing, I can alleviate some of the feelings that are caged within me and to possibly help others in similar situations. That is where a lot of my writings come from.
