Jim Cressler is an award winning author (Orlando Veteran’s Creative Art Festival: creative writing and poetry).
He is currently writing Demimonde, an allegoric fantasy about a young man’s recovery from drugs and alcohol.
He has published Diary of an Oak Tree (YA fantasy. LifeRich. 2016), and Sobriety Island (Allegory. Amazon-Kindle. 2013). Other published works include Double Eagles (Phoenix Art and Literary Magazine); essays The Halloween Tale of the Haunted Couch, A Spooky Tale for Halloween, Knock Knock Who’s There, and his poem Getting Tight Again (TheIntergrouper magazine).
Jim continues to build a platform as an active member of the Orlando chapter of Word Weavers International and Shine Street Writers group. He's a former editor for the Phoenix Art and Literary Magazine; does newspaper interviews (College Park), and speaks at church, book clubs Valencia College writing classes, and other author events. Diary of an Oak Tree has good reviews, and is currently available in print and eBook at Barnes and Noble, LifeRich and Amazon, four local stores, the Orange County and high school libraries.
